James Musto studied at the Rhode Island School of Design, The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and Cape Cod Conservatory of Music and Arts. As an artist, lecturer and sculptor, he has held creative arts workshops and lectures on expressing oneself through the nonverbal language of art.

He has exhibited his work in several galleries and juried shows throughout New England. Among the numerous awards: First Prize in Abstract and First Prize in Realism at the Plymouth Art Guild Annual Jury Show and Portrait Award from the New York National Art Foundation. Published work includes The Canvas is Yours also Sharing the Precious Gift of Creativity in Stylist International magazine.

He works in all media but loves experimenting with found objects, working them into paintings, sculptures, three -dimensional work and collages. Creating new techniques in multi-media using unusual material is his passion and to him art has become a holistic way of life.

He brings his creativity into his business, James Musto Design Associates, in designing home interiors, landscapes and space planning.

James lives and works in North Falmouth; he is a member of the Falmouth Artist Guild.
