"Lovely to Look At"
Marcie McManus is a graduate of Regis College, Weston, Mass. She attended The Modern School of Fashion and Design, Boston, Mass. and The DeCordova Museum School, Lincoln, Mass. She is a member of The Copley Society of Boston, The American Watercolor Society, The Concord Art Association, The New England Watercolor Society and The National League of American Pen Women, Washington, D.C. Her watercolors have been exhibited with The Cape Cod Art Association, Barnstable, Mass., Massachusetts Bay College, Wellesley, Mass., and The Depot Square Gallery, Lexington, Mass. She is a member of The Needham Art Association, The Wellesley Arts and Crafts Guild and The Wellesley Society of Artists.
Marcie has been awarded many prizes for the last twenty years. Her vibrant watercolors are inspired by everyday moments and visions. She paints her favorite things- flowers from her Wellesley and Cape Cod gardens, family keepsakes arranged on lace or patterned cloths, still-lives of fresh vegetables and her special china pieces and glass vases - all of which "inspire people to realize and appreciate beauty in their own lives."
