She was the winner of the Deering Estate Poster Competition in 1992. From 1981-1991 she was designer for Edward Fields Inc., a high quality custom carpet company. Her paintings were featured in South Florida's XS Newspaper in 1994 when she was selected as one of the twenty best painters out of 58 for the year. Exhibitions of her paintings have been held at the Broward County College Library, the Joya Gallery on Lincoln Road, Miami Beach and the Brighton Gallery in Hollywood, Florida. The Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art accepted her artwork into the prestigious Hortt Show in 1997. A grant to study computer and graphic design was awarded to her by Broward Community College in 1999. Her work encompasses realism, abstract and impressionist styles in acrylics on canvas, illustrations board and paper. She has been commissioned to paint murals which include "trompe l'oeil" and faux finishing. She views the world through bright colors, symbols and dream-like clarity- much of her work is inspired by her knowledge of metaphysics. Elements of fantasy and realism combine with vibrant color to produce an intense yet joyful experience.
